I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2007. I received my M.Ed from LaGrange College in 2010. I am currently looping between 4th and 5th grade, but also spent 10 years teaching 2nd grade. This unit uses winter-themed activities to study states of matter.
Standards covered in this unit are:
P1: Students will investigate the properties of matter and changes that occur in matter.
a. Identify the three common states of matter as a solid, a liquid, or a gas.
b. Investigate changes in objects by tearing, dissolving, melting, squeezing, etc.
