Elementary Teaching

This is a chapter-by-chapter book club plan for Frindle designed for fourth grade. Students read one chapter per day and then answer questions about the text. The plan is aligned to 4th grade ELA standards and focuses on key reading skills such as character development, theme, vocabulary in context, inference, and understanding the author’s message. It is structured to be low prep and flexible for small groups.

This is a weekly planner that I send home as the cover of our homework packet each Monday. The planner summarizes what we will be learning about that week, homework, schedule, reminders, and ideas for parents to help learning continue at home. :)
