Experience

I have more than 24 years experience teaching elementary school. I have taught basic skills for mathematics in grades 1 through 6 as well as elementary grade levels 2 and 3.

Teaching style

My teaching style is to try to bring each student what he or she needs to learn. That may require me to work in small groups, one-on-one or whole class; it may be all of the above. I enjoy teaching in all of these ways.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I teach in a formerly accredited International Baccalaureate PYP school. I have been trained as a PYP teacher several times over the years in Massachussets, Toronto, Canada and Philadelphia. My school won the Governor's School of Excellence in NJ award during my tenure as well as State and National School of Character awards.

My own education history

I have a BA from Clark University in Worcester, MA and a MSed in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently enrolled in post-graduate classes at Rowan University pursuing a Supervisor Certification.

Additional biographical information

I am the mother of two school age children with whom I also spend a lot of time teaching at home! :)
