Experience

Hi, I’m Eva—a passionate educator with over 35 years of experience in inspiring young minds! I’m an elementary teacher, consulting teacher of reading and writing, homeschooling mother, homeschool teacher, and the proud director of a thriving homeschool resource center. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree as a Consulting Teacher of Reading and Writing, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Curriculum Development. Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in project-based learning, hands-on exploration, and meaningful investigation. I believe that when students do the learning—when they create, explore, build, question, and reflect—they develop a deeper understanding and lasting connection to the content. Whether it’s designing an eco-friendly city, diving into real literature, or conducting science experiments, my approach prioritizes active engagement over worksheets. I create learning experiences that spark curiosity, build critical thinking, and empower students to take ownership of their learning. In every resource, you’ll find a blend of academic rigor, collaborative learning, and creative challenges designed to make learning both joyful and impactful. My goal? To help educators foster classrooms (and homeschools!) where students feel inspired, capable, and excited to learn every day.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Over the course of my 35-year career, I’ve been honored to receive multiple recognitions for educational excellence, innovation, and leadership. From being named Teacher of the Year to leading district-wide initiatives in literacy development and curriculum design, each milestone has deepened my passion for teaching and learning. One of my proudest achievements is founding and directing a vibrant Homeschool Resource Center, where I’ve had the joy of mentoring both students and families on their educational journeys. I’ve also presented at professional development workshops, led literacy coaching programs, and guided countless young writers and readers to reach their full potential. But my most treasured moments? The spark in a child’s eyes during a hands-on investigation. The pride of a struggling reader finishing their first chapter book. The excitement of learners working together to solve real-world problems through project-based learning. These are the moments that continue to fuel my purpose—and shape every resource I create for you.

My own education history

I’ve always believed that great teaching starts with a passion for learning. My educational journey reflects a deep commitment to understanding how children learn best—and how to design meaningful, lasting learning experiences. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, followed by a Master’s degree as a Consulting Teacher of Reading and Writing, where I specialized in literacy development and instructional coaching. To further deepen my expertise, I completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Curriculum Development, focusing on creating responsive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate curriculum for diverse learners. With over three decades in education, I’ve blended my formal training with real-world classroom, homeschool, and leadership experience to develop resources that are research-backed, practical, and rooted in what truly works.

Additional biographical information

I’m not just an educator—I’m a lifelong learner, creative thinker, and passionate advocate for meaningful, student-centered education. As a homeschooling mother, I’ve had the unique joy of walking alongside my own child’s educational journey, blending structure with flexibility and nurturing a true love of learning. In addition to years spent in traditional classrooms, I’ve worked as a homeschool teacher, a consulting teacher for reading and writing, and currently serve as the director of a thriving Homeschool Resource Center. These diverse roles have given me a deep appreciation for the many ways children learn and thrive. When I’m not designing lessons or working with students, you’ll find me soaking up the sunshine in South Florida, spending time with my amazing family, and dreaming up new ways to bring STEAM, SEL, and project-based learning to life. Each resource I create is built from experience, fueled by passion, and designed to help educators make every moment in the classroom (or homeschool!) count.
