This packet provides an excellent resource for your block/building center. You can either print, laminate, and bind into a book, OR you can print and laminate into resource cards. Students can pick a card and then use building supplies in your building center to build a model of the pictured center. Pictures are labeled with building names and locations. This is a great way to bring literacy and problem solving into your social centers.

In my classroom, I send home all homework on Monday. Students have all week to complete the homework on their own time table, making allowances for each family's busy schedule. This cover letter tells the parents exactly what their student must accomplish during the week. I attach notebook paper for the spelling words and the writing assignments. I also attach the math homework.

Every year, I give my parents a postable schedule of our special classes and lunch times. This helps parents plan so we don't have kiddos showing up in flip flops for PE (Random Thought- I HATE flip flops on little people!!! They can't walk in them!). I print the document onto card stock, fill it out, laminate, and then put a magnet on it to make it refrigerator ready. This document is bee themed.
