About the store
I have been teaching English to Multilingual Learners since 2013. My first language is English and my second language is Spanish. I'm currently learning Portuguese, which I hope will become my third language. Over the course of my career, I have met so many young people from all over the world! I started out teaching K-5 in an elementary school, and I have now found my home teaching middle school in grades 6-8. I love learning about other languages and cultures while helping my students navigate their new culture and language. It is the most rewarding and fulfilling experience to be an ELL teacher!

Teaching style
I believe that learning happens when the affective filter is low. This means creating a safe space that is predictable, organized, managed, and respectful of all. I use effective ELL strategies in my teaching, such as scaffolding, visual support, graphic organizers, word banks, sentence frames, and more! I love to celebrate culture whenever possible, and I love to incorporate culture into my lesson plans.
