Factoring Flow Chart for Algebra 2- Support for factoring
I find that when I teach factoring in Algebra 2, students often do not know what factoring process to use. While they can do 10 problems of the same type, confusion sets in when they have a mix of factoring problems. This flow chart works for every problem. They start by factoring out a GCF, then branch off depending on their polynomial. I usually do this flow chart together with my class, which is why it is hand-written. Experience
This is my 18th year teaching (yikes!) and it is still great.
Teaching style
I try to provide the best lessons and practice problems for my students. I give them lots of resources in order to learn the material and succeed- but it is on them to do well.
