Teaching style

My resources are designed to support rigorous thinking through a clear and structured approach. I believe students learn best when complex skills are broken down intentionally, expectations are transparent, and space is created for independent thought. I aim to create materials that respect both teacher expertise and student agency, supporting classrooms that value inquiry, reflection, and depth over rote completion.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am a high school English educator with experience teaching and leading in New York City and international school settings, including IB DP classrooms. I have served in administrative roles and have been formally recognized for my teaching both in New York City and abroad. I specialize in supporting students in multilingual classrooms as they develop analytical thinking, academic language, and confidence with complex texts.

My own education history

I hold an undergraduate degree from an Ivy League institution and two master’s degrees, including a master’s in education. I have over twenty years of experience teaching and leading in schools in the United States and abroad.
