About the store
Hi, I’m Emily—welcome to Em&Em’s Practical Resources! I’ve spent my career in early childhood education, first in a family childcare program and now co-directing a small center with my mom. I know how much energy goes into keeping classrooms organized, meeting licensing requirements, and training staff, all while making sure children are receiving the care and attention they deserve. That’s why I created this shop: to share simple, practical tools that help other providers save time and stress. Here you’ll find: Center & Classroom Management Resources (schedules, task lists, opener/closer checklists) Family Communication Tools (daily sheets, infant quick reference guides) Editable & Print-and-Go Formats (Canva templates, PDFs, and old-school print versions) Each resource is built from real childcare experience and designed to be clear, flexible, and easy to implement. That way, you and your team can spend less time buried in paperwork and more time with the kids. Thank you for visiting my shop, and I hope these resources bring a little extra breathing room to your days!

Teaching style

I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and strong relationships with their caregivers. My resources are designed to support caregivers in creating organized, consistent environments where children can thrive without unnecessary stress.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The best part of this work has always been the little daily joys, like children laughing together or a quiet moment rocking an infant.

My own education history

I hold a BA in English and have pursued ongoing professional development in early childhood education, classroom management, and family engagement.

Additional biographical information

Outside of my work in childcare, I enjoy reading (historical fiction and multigenerational stories are my favorites) and tending a native plant garden.
