Experience
I’ve been an intervention specialist for 17 years in both high school and elementary school. I am Orton Gillingham trained, with extensive experience in reading strategies that align with the Science of Reading. I believe that kids learn when they are engaged and having fun and love to create editable fun resources we can use year after year, with every/ any skill!
Teaching style
It’s all about connection and making things fun! Many of the kids I work with struggle significantly, making school even harder for them. My goal is to bring joy to their day while learning and making tons of growth! I create tons of games for the students to learn the skills necessary to foster this growth, all while having fun and building relationships!
My own education history
I have a BA in Elementary Education (Primary prek - 3rd) and an MA in Intervention mild/moderate K-12.
