Student Connection Reflection Journal - Quiet Communication

We all have that student(s) who yells out in class. Do you wish they would communicate quieter? Have them use the connection journal. The students can tell you what they are thinking/ feeling with sentence prompts or blank for open communication lines. Students can draw pictures or add to their feelings. The first page is for students, the second page is for teacher responses. Allow students to share feelings, de-escalate, and exciting news without interrupting your teaching!

Drawing Student Reflection Journal

The youngest of learners can identify how their face and body looks. A reflection journal for those who are practicing their writing! Placing this journal in a calm down corner for students to draw their face, body and describe their feelings. Students can also draw how they will calm down. Print in either black and white or color! Suggested use would be to pair with a mirror and cool down chart for options on how to reset.

My own education history

I have a Master of Educational Leadership and a Master of Education in Reading. I received my undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University,
