A full lab for anatomy and physiology or biology, using anatomical directional terminology. This is a fun lab that allows the student to become a crime investigator and write a lab based on their findings at a crime scene and from examinations of a victim and the suspects. This lab comes with a student blank copy, a teacher answer key and a back story for after the crime is solved.
Genetic Code is transcribed from the DNA using mRNA. Transcription is the process by which DNA is replicated to mRNA and carried out for protein synthesis. Translation occurs when mRNA is transported out of the nucleus to the ribosomes for protein synthesis. This lab will assist students in understanding how translation and transcription work to create proteins in the body.
An exhaustive, honors level walk through United States History. This will include in-depth reading about the political, social, economic, and historical implications from prior to formation up to current events. This course will challenge students to think critically and as historians, with a heavy emphasis on writing at a college level. It will require the ability to link events together and form complex opinions and articulation of those opinions.
