Experience

I am an elementary teacher with experience teaching both Kindergarten and Grade 4. Teaching across these grade levels has given me a strong understanding of early literacy development, foundational skills, and the increasing academic expectations of upper-elementary learners. I enjoy creating engaging, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate resources that support a wide range of learners and classroom needs.

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centred, hands-on, and research-informed. I focus on creating engaging and supportive learning environments where students feel confident taking risks and exploring new ideas. My experience teaching both Kindergarten and Grade 4, along with my work in a Master of Education program, informs the practical, flexible, and classroom-tested resources I create.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments as an educator include seeing students grow in confidence, succeed in reading, and develop a love for learning. I’m currently on maternity leave and finishing my Master of Education (MEd), which has been an exciting time of both personal and professional growth. Balancing teaching, studying, and motherhood has given me a deeper perspective on learning, creativity, and what makes resources truly practical and effective for busy teachers.

My own education history

I completed my Bachelor of Arts (2019–2022) early by taking extra courses, followed by a Bachelor of Education (2023–2024) in a Saturday program that allowed me to gain hands-on teaching experience throughout the week. I am now finishing my Master of Education (MEd), which continues to inspire my teaching and the resources I create for classrooms.
