Rainbow word program: What is the program: This program is intended to help your students learn the sight words at their own pace. By the end of the year each child should be through their cards at least. This is an appropriate goal for the average Kindergarten student. For those that are advanced or can handle more, this program has a rainbow journal component. The journal includes sentence writing and spelling tests. How: Once you do the up front work, this program is easy to execute.

7 pages of Kindergarten editing. The first 5 pages include sentences with errors in capitalization and punctuation. The last two pages include sentences with errors in capitalization, punctuation and the spelling of common sight words.

Use this simple editing page to encourage your Kinders to focus on capital letters and punctuation. As the year progresses, the editing pages get more challenging to include spelling and spacing as well.
