About the store

Experience

I have taught science for 5 years at the high school level. I have taught Biology, Physical Science, and Developmental Physical Science. I am a member of my School Improvement Committee. I am a part of the MTSS/RTI team working on writing and implementing a MTSS plan for my high school and middle school.

Teaching style

I like to incorporate Science with real-world applications. I also like to utilize technology as teaching tools. I vary in a traditional teaching approach to Project-Based Learning and Backwards Design.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was a Presidential Scholar at UND for undergrad. I received the Ron and Ann Anstrom scholarship for my Masters Degree.

My own education history

I earned a Bachelors degree in Biology and in Secondary Education from UND. I earned a Masters Degree in Teaching and Technology from VCSU. I have also taken over 45 continuing education credits ranging from science content to working with students with disabilities.

My husband is an elementary Physical Education teacher and I learn a lot about younger students from him.
