Experience
I am a teacher with 10 years of experience. I work with a wide variety of grade levels, both in person and online, and have done everything from classroom teaching to homeschool consulting. I am currently teaching and tutoring virtually for Kindergarten to 5th grade.
Teaching style
I believe that the best way to keep students on task in an online environment is for them to be constantly working. All of my lessons have student engagement built in on almost every slide and can be adapted easily for online classrooms. I highly recommend using programs like Nearpod because a teacher can usually find built-in games to add to my lessons that they do not have to prep.
My own education history
I went to public school for my entire K-12 education, graduated with a bachelor's in Music Education, and promptly switched to working with elementary students upon graduation. I have since completed a Master's degree in Globalization in Education and continuing education units on education philosophy.
Additional biographical information
I am located in California, but because I teach online, I am starting to learn the standards in other states as well.
