This is one of those super engaging activities that your students will be talking about for weeks after you complete it! I still have students talking about it a year later. Students are designing and building a basketball court and a way to shoot the basketball. This is super engaging, but it also requires so much problem solving! Teaching style
I believe in active learning and fostering an environment that encourages all students to achieve their learning goals. If you walked into my classroom you would see a controlled chaos approach; where students are engaged in projects, centers, and various activities. The majority of my lessons are centered around STEAM- I believe students learn more when they get to construct, make, engineer, and try new approaches!
