Teaching style

My teaching style is equal parts engineer brain and kid-sparkle energy. I love taking everyday moments—building things, measuring things, or just wondering “what happens if…?”—and turning them into math adventures my students can actually get excited about. I teach with clear visuals, simple explanations, and activities that feel more like solving little mysteries than doing “work.” In my classroom, mistakes are welcome, curiosity is celebrated, and every student gets the chance to feel like a mini-engineer. And since I create resources while I’m teaching, everything is designed to be low-prep, super engaging, and guaranteed to bring more “Oooh!” than “Ugh…” to math time.
