About the store
I have a degree both in special education and in elementary education. I have spent the last 17 years teaching in one form or another. I taught 4-6th grades in an emotionally disturbed special education cluster unit. I loved helping students develop the skills they needed for life. The majority of my classroom years were spent in a 2nd grade classroom. Second grade will always have my heart! I left the classroom after having my own kids and have continued to teach in various ways. I ran my own preschool as well as taught English virtually to kids in China through VIPKID. I am now starting the journey of homeschool with some of my children.

Teaching style

I love to get kids excited about learning! I love to increase their confidence that they can do hard things! I believe any child is capable of greatness given the love and attention they need. Learning is meant to be fun! I love to incorporate movement into learning. Movement makes us happy and cements new information to the neuropathways in our brain. Movement combined with learning can do extraordinary thins! My goal is to create life long learners that are always on a quest to learn more and become better.
