Ruler-less Measuring! This fun, interactive lesson can be used for an introduction to measurement units. High Flying Math! This fun, interactive lesson can be used for an introduction to measurement unit. Students create a straw glider with 2 paper circle hoops and a straw. They then test their glider in a pre-marked area and record the distance. For older students, you can add variables to the design of the glider. Also great for a ready-made substitute lesson plan!
