In these slides, the Fibonacci sequence is introduced. An Engineering Challenge is included in the slides, to have students create a flower that follows the Fibonacci sequence.
I teach transitional kindergarten through eighth grade STEAM, as well as Coding and Robotics/Computer Science.
Teaching style
I believe in teaching with an inquiry based approach. I allow students to collaborate and work together in order to solve a given problem. Students are challenged without being pushed to the point of frustration. I encourage students to take risks within the classroom, as they will never know until they are able to try! I believe in the power of growth mindset and how implementing this mindset can be a world of difference for some students.
