Dr. Claudine Dumais has over 22 years of experience as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and District Office Level Coordinator. She has worked in Canada, the United States and Mexico serving students in preschool through twelfth grade. She is fluent in Spanish and French and holds bilingual teaching certifications in both languages. Dr. Dumais has extensive experience with English learners as a teacher and, school site and district administrator. She was a teacher and a school administrator in several Spanish and French Two-Way Immersion schools. Her Doctoral Dissertation involved studying the program delivery models, instructional and support services at two high performing Spanish Two-Way Immersion schools. Dr. Dumais' School District level experience includes the following federal programs: Title I, II, III, and VII in addition to California state programs such as the School Improvement Program, High School Cal-SAFE program, Educational Impact Aid, After School Education & Safety Program, State Preschool, and Even Start Family Literacy Program. Additionally, she was responsible for district level programs such as Transitional Kindergarten and Educational Technology.
For the past 11 years, Dr. Dumais has been an Adjunct Faculty at University of Phoenix teaching in the College of Education. She served as a Lead Faculty in the area of English Learners providing professional development and support to fellow faculty members. In 2011, Dr. Dumais was named University of Phoenix's College of Education Faculty of the Year.
