About the store

I've been teaching for 6 years; grades 2,4,and 6. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Education Administration. I currently teach a 4th grade gifted cluster class and serve as Director of our school's Broadcasting Club.

A great printable for students to work with context clues. This chart has 3 columns where students record the unknown word, the clues or evidence in the text that shapes the word's meaning, and what the word means based on the clues found in the text. This chart supports Common Core Standard R.CCR.4 and Level 1 of Robert Marzano's New Taxonomy. Although meant for lower grades (3-6), this printable may be used K-12 within the Common Core Standards.

Teaching style

I believe in offering students an engaging and rigorous learning experience. Learning should be fun but the focus should be on GROWTH. I believe in teaching students at their own levels and challenging each student to rise to their next level. I have high expectations and promote a pursuit of excellence. I strive to differentiate my instruction and provide opportunities that tap into a variety of learning styles. My philosophy has been shaped by Ron Clark, Harry Wong, Susan Winebrenner, Ian Byrd, Robert Marzano, and Sandra Kaplan.
