Pattern Recognition Game - Flies Around a Light

This is one of my favorite (and surprisingly challenging) games! Use a pair of dice to uncover the pattern called "Flies around a light". The only rule is you can never TELL anyone the answer. They need to play the game to see the pattern for them selves. The EPIPHANY moment when they see the answer is incredible. Equally challenging for elementary students and adults (believe it or not)

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching science since 1996. I've had the privilege of having thousands of students over the years ranging from 6th to 12th grade. Along with a Masters in Digital Media Production, I can produce the resources you need to succeed in a wide variety of topics.

Teaching style

I love teaching! I get the chance to make the difficult ideas of the universe understandable to the young mind. I am a very visual and hands on learner so that tends to shape the way I teach. I like to sprinkle video and interactive web sites in with discussion and engaging activities to reach as many students as possible. My worksheets are intended to be user friendly and self explanatory.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am a nationally awarded video producer. I helped make our school a Missouri School of Character in 2007 and a National School of Character in 2008. I have been nominated teacher of the year several times over my career.

My own education history

I graduated with a BSEd in Science Education from the University of Missouri Columbia (Mizzou) in 1996 and completed a Masters in Digital Media Production from Lindenwood University in 2006.
