I have been in education for over 20 years. Teaching music to a wide spectrum of students, I worked with Junior High and High School students before transitioning to Elementary. Animal Rhythm
A one page sheet where the student is to discover and write the rhythm of the words for animal names. The rhythms of words are broken into one and two parts. There are pictures of the animal to help the student. I have the student say the name first, then clap the rhythm while saying, and finally write the rhythm above the word. This can be used as whole class assignment or as individual work. I have used it in my classroom both ways. This works with Kindergarten and 1st Grade. - Eric Ruyle, Mu
