About the store

I have taught in a public elementary school since September of 2001. I have spent the majority of my teaching career in first grade. I create products to fit a variety of learning needs. My teaching experience also includes teaching Kindergarten and second grade. I have styled classrooms for I am the author of two Scholastic teacher resource books: 50 Just Right Reading Response Activities for Young Learners and 20 Super Spelling Centers. Besides classroom academics, I have a flair for decor. I love making visually appealing and functional classroom decor for my own classroom and others.

This download is for a Gummy Bear Sorting, Tallying, Graphing, and Analyzing Data Math Center. I photographed the gummy bears myself for this activity to create the sorting mat. My first grade students love this center and the classroom smells so sweet! The activities can also be modified for the Pre-K or K for just sorting and graphing, used as a guided math center, or utilized as an independent math center. This packet is also included in my 1st Grade Thanksgiving Math Centers Packet. This Thanksgiving themed subtraction math activity can be done whole class or as a center. The subtraction activity is meant to compliment EngageNY, Module 1, Topic G. The students have to decide if it is more efficient to count on or count back to subtract on the number path. Students will count on to subtract when the numbers are closer together, like in 9-8=. It would only be one hop from 8 to 9 on the number

Teaching style
