This is a RACES anchor chart that you can post in your classroom as a reminder for students! This puts an edge on RACE by adding the S, which is to summarize. This strategies is super beneficial, especially to middle grades students.

This is a book project that my students have done at the beginning of the year to start off reading! They have to pick a fiction chapter book from the library. They are then to choose a project from the list provided to them. They will have a month to read their book and create ONE of the projects on the paper. Students were then scored on the generic rubric that is also provided.
