This unit is designed for students to delve into "Number the Stars" through vocabulary, writing, research, discussion, and art. Students will gain insight into WWII as well as expand their literary knowledge through the use of Google Earth, literary stations, and a comprehensive and creative final map project.
Using this lesson plan and experiment handout, students will create rainbows using water, a plastic bowl, and white light. Afterwards, students will go through the scientific method to answer questions and figure out how white light created a rainbow.
This document includes a lesson plan and experiment hand out designed to take up 30 to 45 minutes. Students will test various liquids to see if the density of a liquid affects magnetic pull. This is a great introductory lesson for students starting to learn about the scientific method and predictions vs. observations.
