About the store

Experience

For the past 15 years, I've worked as a special educator, primarily with students with autism and/or severe disabilities. I've worked with children in grades k-12 in both inclusion and self-contained classroom settings and with adult learners ages 18-21 in vocational and pre-vocational programs. I have specialized expertise in supporting autistic students and students with intellectual disabilities and/or multiple disabilities.

Teaching style

As an autistic and ADHD educator, parent, and person, I'm passionate about supporting disabled and neurodivergent people while respecting their authentic selves. The goal of special education should not be to make *us* "less disabled," but to make our environment more accessible and less disabling to *us*!

My own education history
