About the store
My goal is to give students chances to be actively engaged and collaborative learners. Everything in my store comes from use within my own classroom. My resources are student favorites and teacher time-savers.
I'm not a worksheet/workbook kind of teacher. My students quickly learn that I love technology, so I also look for ways to engage students through technology resources.
The 24/25 school year marks my 18th year as a teacher. I teach 4th grade, and I absolutely love teaching upper elementary students. However, the majority of my career was as a middle school Science teacher. Science is definitely my favorite subject to teach! I love asking questions about the world around us, and science gives us such a fun way to find some of the answers, too.

Characteristics of Stars - Lesson, Notes, and Vocabulary Open Sort Activity
Provide an engaging way to teach students about the characteristics of stars: brightness, color, temperature, composition, and size. Students start the lesson by participating in an open sort activity. I give partners an envelope that contains each of the cut-out clue cards. I challenge students to arrange the cards based on the characteristics of stars. Our school uses Thinking Maps, so I tell them that they are trying to build a tree map. Measurement Around the Classroom
Get students up and moving around the classroom while using their measurement skills. Measure: length, width, height, volume of regular objects, mass (using a Triple Balance Beam or digital scale). Students choose objects to measure from a list of options that you have preselected. The editable Microsoft Word format allows you to modify the choices on the handout to best fit the resources available in your class. "I Have, Who Has" Activity Template
Now you can create your own "I Have, Who Has" review activity! This game is sure to be a popular class review activity. The Microsoft Word Document comes with 40 student question cards. Monthly Student Hall Pass - The "Go Pass"
We all know that excusing students out of the class to go to their bathroom or lockers often times cause more distractions than we'd prefer. Or, one student needing to go in a class period leads to three more students asking to be dismissed. I use this Hall Pass with my students, and it dramatically cuts down class interruptions. Creating a Line Graph and Sequencing Activity
This editable Word document provides a space for students to collect data and then use that data to create a line graph. Template for Printing on Mini Post-It Notes (1.5" x 2")
This Word document is created so that you can easily print on to small Post-It Notes (1.5" x 2"). Among a variety of helpful uses, I use this to print the names of my students to create a Post-It seating chart. Switching seats for the whole class, or just a select few, is a quick and clean task.
