My goal is to give students chances to be actively engaged and collaborative learners. Everything in my store comes from use within my own classroom. My resources are student favorites and teacher time-savers.
I'm not a worksheet/workbook kind of teacher. My students quickly learn that I love technology, so I also look for ways to engage students through technology resources.
The 24/25 school year marks my 18th year as a teacher. I teach 4th grade, and I absolutely love teaching upper elementary students. However, the majority of my career was as a middle school Science teacher. Science is definitely my favorite subject to teach! I love asking questions about the world around us, and science gives us such a fun way to find some of the answers, too.

Asteroids, Comets, and Meteoroids Guided Notes
When I teach about asteroids, comets, and meteoroids, I use these notes based on Thinking Maps. There are three circle maps and one brace map. The front is all about comets. The comets circle map has questions in the frame of reference box to help guide the students to key information. There is a box for students to draw and label a diagram of a comet. "Total Eclipse of the Art" - Solar and Lunar Eclipse Diagram Activity
This one-page student handout provides a place for students to draw a diagram of a solar and lunar eclipse. Space is also provided underneath each diagram for students to summarize what is happening during each eclipse. This is excellent for use as class notes, guided or independent practice, or a homework assignment.

Measurement Around the Classroom
Get students up and moving around the classroom while using their measurement skills. Measure: length, width, height, volume of regular objects, mass (using a Triple Balance Beam or digital scale). Students choose objects to measure from a list of options that you have preselected. The editable Microsoft Word format allows you to modify the choices on the handout to best fit the resources available in your class. I use this in my Science classroom during our measurement unit, but it could work

Creating a Line Graph and Sequencing Activity
This editable Word document provides a space for students to collect data and then use that data to create a line graph. When using it with my students, I gave them the weather data from the previous month for our town. It is ready to go for any data that you want your students to use. Creating a Bar Graph with Writing Prompt
This PDF page includes a spot to collect and record data, a grid to create their graph, and then a writing prompt that includes an opportunity to make observations and inferences about the results.
