Teaching style

Since 2005, we've designed 200+ arts-integrated STEM programs for formal and informal institutions internationally. Our programs transform discovery through hands-on, scratch-making and transdisciplinary inquiry to spark robust, holistic, and relevant learning. Each year we also personally teach thousands of students and train fellow educators in effective STEAM & Maker Ed practice. Learners, both youth and adults, have a blast becoming “Artist Explorers” to investigate how our world and universe works. Our programs connect-the-dots through the creative process to link STEM topics with a unique cultural and historical twist. We take a holistic & equitable approach to education - fusing STEAM, Design Thinking, PBL and Making - to engage imaginations through hands-on learning and student-led inquiry. Each of our resources on TPT have been implemented with thousands of students and teachers nation-wide. They're tried, tested, and informed by many diverse voices and backgrounds.

My own education history

About the Aiellos: In the space between art and science exists the explorations of our founders, nationally acclaimed artists Tyler and Monica Aiello. The husband and wife team translate the macro and micro of the Universe into both artistic form and innovative education and public outreach initiatives. The couple works with NASA and the science community and their artwork has been presented at museums and galleries nation-wide. As award-winning teaching artists, the Aiellos are equally passionate about enriching the learning and creativity of others. They have spent their careers forging connections between the arts, sciences and communities and have pioneered innovative STEAM and Maker-oriented programs for over a decade. They consult with NASA, schools, colleges, libraries and museums exploring and learning hands-on with thousands of students of all ages. Both the Aiello's artwork and public practice initiatives have been celebrated in art, science and popular media.
