Teaching style

I believe learning should be clear, purposeful, and joyful. My teaching style blends structure with creativity-rooted in the Science of Reading, data-driven decisions, and a deep love for literacy.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my favorite moments come from seeing struggling readers grow confident and curious. I’ve led schoolwide literacy gains, coached teachers across K–8, and designed systems that make small groups run smoothly and effectively

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi. Over the past 18 years, I’ve served as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and now Dean of Academics
