Teaching style

As someone who has played many roles in children and youth education settings, I bring with me to this platform varied student experience. I often find myself creating my own resources to cater to specific student needs and interests. I would say my teaching style is student-focused. I believe in learning from the student and students' needs, catering to THEIR learning style in order to dictate what MY teaching style should be when working with them. The more engaged and comfortable of a space I can create for those I support, the better I find my students to work and communicate what they need from me. This clear line of communication and rapport-building is what I believe to be one of the strongest tools an educator can possess.
