“How Do Elevators Work?” Introductory Unit to Simple Machines
Looking to start a unit on simple machines? Have students create their own elevators in this engaging 30+ page introduction to simple machines and forces/motion!
This unit is intended to be very hands-on and flexible so educators can adapt it to meet their particular students' needs. Therefore, the 5 E Inquiry Model is used and differentiation tips are provided throughout the unit. It also ends with a final lapbooking project that can be used as a portfolio or assessment of student learning.
