Currently an Instructional coach for 3 years, and a teacher for 10 years. I have spent most of my career teaching 3rd and 4th grade Math. I have also taught Reading. I have also been a curriculum writer and tutor for grades Pre-K through 7th grade. Teaching style

My approach to teaching is a mix of high expectations and a slow release of rigor. I gradually scaffold learning and help students personalize their own learning. I give students choices while keeping in mind different learning styles.I approach teaching by providing many strategies to solve problems and learn objectives. I am the the teacher who constantly takes her class' learning temperature and reflects and continues to strive to master the art of teaching.

I am blessed to be a mom of three awesome children! As a child I personally experienced homeschooling, private school, public and corresponding school.This experience has helped me understand what is priority when teaching children. Learning can happen in everyday situations; and parents and teachers alike should master the seizing of every opportunity, to build a leader.
