Experience

I began my education career teaching 6th grade mathematics for 5 years in a Title I school. As the standards have shifted to Common Core, I created guided notes, homework, assessments and activities for my students based on the 6th grade Common Core Standards. Teaching style

I believe every student is capable of being successful in mathematics. Many of the students that arrive in my class are 2-3 grade levels behind in mathematics with major conceptual gaps. Through instruction and scaffolding practice, the students make gains and grow in confidence. I use a variety of projects, centers and activities to reinforce and explore the curriculum to reach students of all learning styles.
