Hello, I'm Sandra Orrego, the creative mind behind Everything For A Reason. As a dedicated math teacher since 2015, I have had the privilege of witnessing my students' accelerated, enhanced learning through the use of hands-on materials.
Over the years, I have discovered that leveraging different learning styles is a powerful tool for student engagement and comprehension. For example, I have found that visual learners thrive when immersed in a world of vibrant colors and visually stimulating materials. Kinesthetic learners, on the other hand, excel when presented with activities that encourage movement and physical interaction. For my socially oriented students, stations, scavenger hunts, and group activities provide the perfect setting for collaborative learning.

Teaching style

My own education history
I currently teach 6th and 7th-grade math at an international school, where I enjoy helping students build strong mathematical thinking and make meaningful, real-world connections. Before moving from Vietnam three years ago, I taught 6th through 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Consumer Math. Before becoming an educator, I spent ten years working as an Industrial Engineer in the manufacturing industry. That experience has given me a unique perspective that I bring into my teaching, allowing me to connect classroom concepts with practical, real-world applications.
