Additional biographical information
With over a decade of experience in English language education, I bring a unique blend of expertise in English to support ESL/ EB students at every stage of their learning journey. I began my career teaching English Literature before moving into Special Education, where I developed a deep understanding of scaffolding instruction to meet diverse student needs. This foundation became especially powerful during my three years in Istanbul, Turkey, where I taught English as a foreign language and created custom curriculum to strengthen students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
After returning to the U.S., I earned my MA-TESOL from the University of Texas at San Antonio and have spent the past 13 years supporting EB students in Texas public schools. I’m passionate about making English instruction not just effective, but enjoyable. I understand how busy us teachers are, and I’m committed to creating time-saving resources that build confidence and make learning fun for students of all proficiency levels. My work is grounded in research, responsive to classroom realities, and designed to help teachers feel empowered and students feel seen.
