Arrays Slideshow or Movie or Presentation or PDF File
I created this slideshow/movie/presentation/pdf file to introduce and define arrays to my 2-3rd grade students. There are 52 slides/pages that takes students from guessing the amounts they see by piles, then groups, and the rows. I use real photos of toys, buttons, coins, candy to show different arrays. I also challenge my learners by asking them to come up with all the possible arrays for 16 toy cars.

Teaching style
I love to make math engaging through real life applications. Every math topic can usually be taught through projects and problem solving. My goal is for my students to be able to think, collaborate, and communicate. While I don't teach to the test, I cover the Common Core Standards, which I fully support.
