This activity is a perfect way to check for understanding as you teach graphing to your students! Students compose a frequency table, bar graph, stem and leaf plot, line plot, and find the measures of central tendency while using candy. They also analyze the data once they have calculated it. Can be used as a review activity, formative assessment or just for a fun day in math class!

Students LOVE this activity, and it is a fantastic way to assess their understanding of creating and analyzing data. They will gather their own data and create a frequency table, bar graph, circle graph and data analysis based on their results. This is a perfect way to wrap up a graphing unit and check for understanding at the same time!
