Special Education Social Story for Emotion-Regulation: Safety
A social story is an important tool to help students with safe behaviors. This social story is intended to reinforce positive behaviors (through the use of positive language) for special education students with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other emotional disabilities in order to decrease aggression and decrease elopement. Priming is a behavior management strategy that involves showing/telling a student what is upcoming in their day so that they can better regulate their emotions when it happens.
