I have 25+ years experience tutoring all grade levels in math, 15+ years writing math test preparation and curriculum for K-12, 7 years working with gifted preschoolers, and I have taught from 5th grade math up to Calculus.
This game is fantastic whenever you have a lot of fun-size bags of M&Ms on hand (think Halloween or Easter).
Sort the M&Ms by color, then create a picture graph showing how many of each color. Then eat them, of course!
This is great practice for sorting colors, and a fun and simple introduction to graphing.
I've also included some blank sorting and graphing pages for when you have those bags with special holiday colors.
