Halloween Graphing - Candy Probability

My students love doing this activity every year around Halloween. I do this activity with both my 2nd and 3rd grade students. The only items you will need for this activity are brown paper bags and enough Starbursts for your class. I typically have students work in groups of 2, but that's not a requirement. Experience

I have been teaching for a grand total of 12 years. 1st-3rd Grade Montessori - 5 years 1st-2nd Grade Math & Science - 3 years 3rd Grade Math & Science - 6 years 4th Grade Science - 2 years 5th Grade Intro to Pre-Algebra - 2 years Algebra 1 - 1 year

Teaching style

Students learn by doing. I believe in vibrant, engaging, and colorful worksheets, but I also believe in students working together on projects and activities that allow them to experience the content for themselves. For example, most of my graphing, measurement, and science worksheets offer a chance for students to engage with the content instead of just sitting at their desks and practicing.
