About the store
I’m retired from over 40 years teaching 8th through graduate school level classes in the performing arts and educational technology. After teaching 12 years in a public school I joined a public television station as the Director of Educational Services. While there I taught teacher workshops in educational technology and produced 18 educational TV series seven of which received Emmy nominations and won three. These lesson plans and their Emmy award winning videos were my final TV series for the station. Since retiring, I started a summer performing arts camp for the local school system. It’s in it’s sixth year and has become a self sustaining program. I’ve acted in, directed or did the tech for over 70 middle, high school and community theatre plays and musicals.

Teaching style

I prefer to be a guide on the side in the classroom. Knowledge that students learn through their own exploration sticks better. As a director I always wanted my student actors to explore their characters rather than me telling them everything. That way they were building a character rather than trying to remember everything I said about their character. My teaching style reflected my directing style.
