A student notebook for 1st Grade to increase student awareness of reading strategies they currently use and help them add new strategies. It has a checklist with pictures for each strategy (Flip the Dolphin, Stretchy Snake). Also teachers can track actual strategy use and plan for future learning. The notebook increases comprehension with sections for main idea, questions and unknown words.
