About the store

I am a Speech Language Pathologist that works in an Elementary school with a centralized Autism program. I have been working in the Autism program for the past 3 years. Most of my students are non-verbal communicators that use AAC (both high-tech and low-tech) or students with significant expressive and receptive language deficits. I also work with students on articulation, language, fluency, and social skills.

This is an interactive Google Slides presentation for students with Autism working on answering "who" questions. The answer choices are provided with words and pictures in a field of 3. This presentation provides feedback based on the answer choice selected. It will redirect the student to try again if they answered incorrectly or provide them with positive praise for answering correctly and then move on to the next question.

Teaching style

I enjoy doing a lot of interactive activities with all of my students. If they are not engaged, then they are not learning the skills. This means we do crafts, games, and lots of shared book reading activities in my speech classroom.

My own education history

I went to undergrad at Kansas State University where I majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Conflict Management. I got my Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Kansas where I took all their AAC classes, as that is a passion of mine.
