About the store
I teach math to deaf students at a residential school for the Deaf. I primarily teach middle school math and Algebra 1 but have taught all grades from K to 12 ranging from counting to calculus! I use American Sign Language as the language of communication for instruction so all my students learn through their eyes rather than their ears, hence my store, Eye Learn Math.

Number Sense: Count by Ones AND Tens
This is a set of 27 task cards. They could also be printed to use as worksheets. Great for centers, group, or individual practice.
Practice counting on and counting back by ones and tens.
This activity is a mixture of counting by ones and tens. Students have to determine what number is shown by the base ten blocks. Then they look at the next number and decide if it is one more or ten more. Half of the cards focus on counting back by tens and ones.

About the store
Experience
I teach math to deaf students at a residential school for the Deaf. I primarily teach middle school math and Algebra 1 but have taught all grades from K to 12 ranging from counting to calculus! Teaching style
Many of my students have learning disabilities that make accessing a textbook very difficult for them. I try to make materials to help them access the curriculum in a more meaningful and memorable way.
My own education history
I graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have a master's degree in Deaf Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
