Teaching style
Eyewords uses a multisensory-phonemic approach that integrates visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and phonemic input to support reading development and word learning and spelling.
Through structured, scaffolded instruction, students build letter–sound connections, develop high-frequency word automaticity, and strengthen spelling through sound mapping to support orthographic mapping.
Unlike traditional flashcards, this approach is designed to accelerate learning and improve retention by engaging multiple pathways in the brain.
