About the store
I have taught for the past 20 years, mostly in the k- 2 grades. Although the children keep me very busy, they are also so curious and excited about learning, that they keep me inspired to try new ideas in my classroom. I have also taught in both Canada and the Uk, which has provided me with a very broad perspective on education and education practices. It seems that children are similar all around the world, they all need nurturing and care to grow!

I have taught for the past 20 years, mostly in the k- 2 grades. Teaching style
I like working in ability and mixed abililty groups for many of the subject areas. The children are encouraged to try their best andI encourage a positive, happy environment using the "FishPhilosophy" as my main behaviour management tool. As a user of all things technology, I love using the Iwb and I am now working oincorporating the mobile technologies such as Ipad within the classroom.

Additional biographical information
In any spare time I have, I enjoy working with fabrics and fibres, and I try to incorporate these skills in the classroom where possible. Some of the activities that I have adapted for class include working with quilting, knitting, paper mache, woodwork, puppetry and bead work. These enrichment activities are always popular with the children and often flow over into a skill they then practise at home.
